To standardize the admission management, strengthen the admission process supervision, establish a restriction mechanism, standardize admission behavior, ensure the fairness, justice and openness, put an end to illegal and false admission, ensure the fairness and equity of admission, JXUT has formulated clear and strict admission requirements. Admission policy of JXUT is discussed by the Admissions Committee and then reviewed and approved by the Presidents’ Meeting. The supervision department is the Discipline Inspection Team of the Admissions Committee, mainly responsible for supervising the rationality and standardization of the University’s admission work, and handling academic misconduct events. The team will review newly admitted students every month on all aspects.
The University is a full-time private undergraduate university, which focuses on engineering, management and art and has the coordinated development of multi-disciplines. It has the national recognition to admit students and award degrees, and the right to grant bachelor's degrees. JXUT recruits students in 31 provinces across the country. In accordance with the provincial threshold scores of second-tier universities as the basis for admission, JXUT will enroll qualified students who participated in the National College Entrance Examination (hereinafter referred to as NCEE) and put JXUT in their form of intention. The NCEE enrollment system works in a way as following:
(1) Students take part in the NCEE.
(2) The results of the NCEE come out and students fill in the form of intention according to both their scores and predictions of the threshold scores of the universities. One can fill in the form of intention with more than one university.
(3) The universities publish their threshold scores. The threshold scores of the same university vary in different provinces. As one of the second-tier universities, the threshold scores of JXUT is generally a bit higher than the provincial threshold scores of second-tier universities.
(4) The personal files of the students who have submitted the form of intention with JXUT as one of their choices and pass the threshold score standard of JXUT will be selected through the online admission system of provincial examination institutes.
(5) The students mentioned in (4) within one province will be arranged by their NCEE scores in a high-to-low order and will be enrolled in sequence. The upper limit of the total enrolled number is specified in the Enrollment Plans approved by the provincial government. The students with higher scores enjoy the priority to be enrolled.
The full score of the NCEE is 750.
The University carries out the guidelines and policies of the Ministry of Education on admission examination, based on the principle of "fairness, justice and openness", we create an atmosphere of "fairness admission and standardized admission", students who meet the admission requirements of JXUT and are admitted by JXUT through the online admission system of each provincial examination institute. JXUT anticipates that students who wish to be enrolled on RAIUL-accredited programmes should submit a written application, a copy of their ID card, a letter of advice from their parents, transcripts of English and courses (majors) to the Admissions and Employment Office. After receiving the materials, the Admission and Employment Office will examine the applicant's materials one by one, meet the conditions to give pre-admission, inform the applicant and inform him to participate in the English internal test organized by JXUT. After passing the English internal test results, it shall be deemed as a formal admission. For the officially admitted students, the Admission and Employment Office reports it to the Admission Committee. After examination and approved by the University, the admission notice is issued uniformly, marking the applicant's name, gender, ID number, the opening time and registration to the school. If the applicant does not meet the admission conditions of the University, the recruitment office will inform the applicant by phone and explain the reason. For the age of students, the University has no rigid regulations, meet the admission conditions can be admitted. In the admission process, university follows the principle of "fairness, justice and openness". If applicants have an objection to the admission decision, they can submit an application to the Admissions and Employment Office. The application should include student’s name, identity card, candidate number, reasons for applying, parents' opinions, etc., and attach copy of student id photocopy, admission ticket and parents’ ID photocopy, university enrolment. The Admissions and Employment Office will submit the application to the Admissions Committee, the Admissions Committee members will carry out a review in accordance with the articles of association of the University admissions review.. After the case has been reviewed and a decision reached, the Admission and Employment Office is responsible for contacting students and informing them of the result. The time period for processing the result is one week.
Once admitted by the University, the students should hold the Admission Notice within the prescribed time, according to the relevant requirements and the prescribed time limit to the University for admission procedures. If the admitted student cannot register on time due to illness or other reasons, s/he should write an application to the Admission and Employment Office to explain the reasons. The application content should include name, ID number, admission major, application reason, leave time and parents' opinions, etc., and attach the copy of the student's ID card and the copy of the parents' ID card. After being verified by the Admission and Employment Office, the students will be collected and reported to the Academic Affairs Office, who shall be responsible for reserving the admission qualification of students who ask for leave. If they fail to leave or is overdue, s/he shall be deemed to have abandoned his admission qualification except for legitimate reasons such as force majeure. After the freshmen come to the University, the Admission and Employment Office will uniformly review their admission qualifications and provide admission guidance, and inform the students of the admission attention and reporting procedures. Freshmen who obtain admission qualification through deception, favoritism and irregularities or attempt to impersonate themselves will not be given registration. If a student applies for withdrawal, they should submit the relevant application materials to the admission and employment office, which can be withdrawn only after the University admission committee. For students who have withdrawn, the University no longer re-accepts the student.
