Chapter I General Provisions
Article 1 These Measures are formulated in the light of ensuring the quality of bachelor’s degrees in accordance with the spirit and requirements of the Implementation of the Regulations of the People's Republic of China and the other documents and in light of the actual situation of the University.
Article 2 The University shall grant corresponding bachelor's degrees according to the categories of bachelor's degrees approved by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government.
Chapter II Conditions for Bachelor Degree
Article 3 When students graduate, the University shall make a comprehensive appraisal of students from the aspects of morality, intelligence and body.
Students in the prescribed number of years, can adhere to four basic principles, complete the content of education and teaching regulations, approved by the University review, its course study and graduation thesis (graduation design or other graduation design link) results show that has better master the basic theory, specialized knowledge and basic skills, have the preliminary ability to engage in scientific research or specialized technical work.
Article 4 All full-time ordinary undergraduate graduates who have the university status of our university and meet the following conditions may be awarded a bachelor's degree and issued a bachelor's degree certificate after deliberation and approved by the University's degree evaluation committee:
(1) Obtain an undergraduate graduation certificate;
(2) Foreign language achievement meets one of the following requirements:
1. qualified the test result in the bachelor's degree English test organized by the university;
2. takes the nationally organized foreign language test with the following score requirements:
(1) non-foreign language students have achieved 50% of the total score in the national CET-4 examination;
(2) English major students pass the CET-4 examination in English major in institutions of higher learning;
(3) The total credits of courses (non-English majors excluding school English courses) passed after the make-up examination or clear examination are less than 25% of the minimum total graduation credits (including practical teaching links) stipulated in the teaching plan, and the preparatory students of ethnic minority nationalities shall be 30%;
(4) None of the following circumstances were occurred during qualification examination:
1. has serious violations of academic integrity, examination fraud (including cooperative fraud), or plagiarism of others ' academic achievements;
2. was given demerit recording or above.
Article 5 If a student fails to meet the provisions of paragraph (3) of Article 4 or (4) of these Measures, if she/he meets one of the following conditions in the course of later study, the academic degree evaluation committee of the school agrees upon examination and approval by the University academic degree evaluation committee whether to grant a bachelor's degree.
(1) Those who successfully applied for postgraduate, civil servants, village officials and a position in public institutions;
(2) Those who have won the provincial second prize or the national third prize or above in the discipline and professional competition (ranked first);
(3) Have the top three ranked in the class at the end of the comprehensive academic performance of a certain semester;
(4) Responding to the call of the state, the "Three Support and One Support" (refers to the policy implemented by graduates at the grass-roots level, which means that college students work in rural grass-roots areas to support agriculture, education, medical care and poverty alleviation after graduation) to meet the needs of national defence in the new era and participate in the army at the rural grassroots level and school students who volunteer to serve the western region;
(5) Those who actively participate in social public welfare undertakings, help others, do voluntary, act righteous and courageous, have good social influence and have been commended by government departments at or above the provincial level (certificates issued by the corresponding departments);
(6) Approved invention patent or intellectual property related to the major (all rank first)
(7) Those who meets other special conditions for placement formulated by the secondary school and pass the examination and approved by the University committee.
Article 6 Undergraduate students who fail to obtain the degree certificate as scheduled in the year of graduation, may apply for a degree according to the relevant provisions of these Measures within the longest period of study, and the time limit shall not be accepted.
Chapter III Working Procedures for Bachelor's Degree Granting
Article 7 The Degree Committee shall hold one to two meetings a year to examine and approve the list of bachelor's degree awards through evaluation in the meeting. If there is a major event that needs to make a decision, the director of the the Degree Committee may propose to hold a meeting to deal with relevant issues.
Article 8 The Degree Committee shall, within the scope of its work, vote on the issues discussed. Meeting can only be held if there are more than two-thirds (including two-thirds) of all the members attending, and the decisions can only be made if it is approved by more than two-thirds (including two-thirds) of all the members.
Article 9 Application and preliminary examination
(1) Individual application. Graduates who meet the criteria for bachelor's degree awarding apply to the Degree Committee of their school.
(2) Preliminary examination. According to the review of the students' ideological and political performance, academic performance, internship appraisal and comprehensive evaluation materials, the Degree Committee of the schools put forward the list of students to award the bachelor's degree, and submit the list of students not to award the bachelor's degree and reasons, sign by the directors of the Degree Committee of the schools, submit the lists to the Academic Affairs Office. For students who are not going to be awarded a bachelor's, each secondary school shall inform students themselves in time, the Degree Committee of the University will not review any lists that has not approved by the Degree Committee of the schools.
Article 10 Review
According to the requirements of Article 4 of these Measures, the Academic Affairs Office shall review the degree awarding qualifications of applicants for a bachelor's degree, and submit the review results to the Degree Committee of the University for deliberation.
Article 11 Examination and publicity
(1) Examination and approval. The Degree Committee of the University discusses and considers the list of students to be awarded submitted by the Academic Affairs Office to determine the list of students to grant a bachelor's degree.
(2) Public publicity. The list of students awarded bachelor's degrees according to the examination results will be publicly displayed, the publicity period is three days.
Article 12 Reconsideration
If a student has any questions of the following to the results of the publicity:
(1) The student holds solid proofs that someone on the list is not qualified to be awarded with bachelor’s degree
(2) The student holds solid proofs that she/he her/himself is qualified to be awarded with bachelor’s degree but her/his name is not on the list
The student may apply for reconsideration to the Degree Committee of the schools within the publicity period, and submit it for preliminary examination to the Degree Committee of the schools and Academic Affair Office, and then submit for final examination to the Degree Committee of the University. A bachelor's degree can be awarded if the Degree Committee of the University approves.
Article 13 Issuance and reporting for the record
(1) Issue of a degree certificate. The director of the Degree Committee of the University shall issue the degree certificate of the bachelor's degree recipients.
(2) Report it to the record. The Academic Affairs Office will submit the list of bachelor's degree recipients approved by the Degree Committee of the University to the Provincial Degree Office for the record. Materials for the awarding of bachelor's degrees shall be filed in accordance with the management regulations of the University archives.
Article 14 If a graduate who has obtained a bachelor's degree is found engaged in fraud in the process of degree award, the Degree Committee of the schools will have a preliminary examination of the situation, then reviewed by Academic Affair Office, and finally examined and decided by Degree Committee of the University, whether to withdraw the graduate’s degree. This should also be reported to higher authorities for the record.
Chapter IV The Administration of Academic Degree Certificate
Article 15 The Academic Affairs Office shall be responsible for the specific work of issuing the bachelor's degree certificates.
Article 16 The bachelor's degree certificate shall not be reissued after it is lost or damaged. After the graduate submit the application, the Academic Affairs Office may issue the corresponding certificate, which has the same effect as the original certificate.
